Chief Accountant

Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Chief Accountant to join our team overseeing the financial operations of a group of private schools located in Al Ain. As a Chief Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, and contributing to the overall financial health and sustainability of our educational institutions

Job Qualifications:

Must be Chartered Accountant

5 to 10 years post qualification experience, of which at least 3 years in UAE is a must

Proficient in English, knowledge of Arabic is desirable

Experience in Education Sector is desirable

Duties and Responsibilities:

Establish finance department operational strategies, accumulate resources, resolve problems and implement change. Oversee day to day accounting operations of the schools. Arrange and complete both internal and external audits. Supervise all finance department personnel

Drive the schools' financial planning. Manage the processes for and prepare financial forecasting and budgets. Oversee the preparation of accurate and reliable financial reports.  Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions and minimizing impacts of variances. Ensure cash flow and liquidity is appropriate for the schools' operations

Establish and develop relations with senior management and external partners and stakeholders. Provide strategic financial recommendations to the Board of Directors, school principals and members of the executive management team. Advise on long-term business and financial planning

Ensure compliance with statutory laws and regulations such as Corporate Tax, VAT, ESR including strict compliance will all Ministry of Education and ADEK policies
